This is a build i use for HM, I oroginally started out with a standard BHA ranger build, but through trial and error have brought it up to this. It synergizes extremely well with a MM bomber whos minions, combined with ebon vanguard assassin support provide almost constant interrupt with BHA.

Obviusly a few skills will change here and there but i've found it to work generally across the board. Just thought Id Share for new rangers, or people new to HM. I generally run it with sabway or very rarely discord.

BHA
No Suprises Here, pretty much every succesful HM build has this

Apply Poison
Good degen, replace with read the wind if apply poison is not feasable for the area you plan to do.

Distracting Shot
Very good interrupt, still waiting for this to be nerfed, fingers crossed it won't be.

Savage Shot
Not as good as Distracting, usually the first skill to go if i need another specific skill or am trying out a new skill. Still a decent secondary interrupt though.

Needling Shot
Another highly overlooked skill IMO. One of the best for finishing off an enemy, especially against torment creatures, when call to the torment becomes a problem.

PI
Another standard issue here, extremely useful for eles, Dervs, Wars pretty much any enemy with decent AoE which is alot in HM

Vanguard Sin Support
Combines very very well with BHA, the assassin has a very fast attack chain which means any dazed opponent isnt gonna be casting anything whilst this guy is around. Works well with monks, who can become a problem in HM.

Rez or I Am The Strongest.
Depends on what your heroes are carrying, all of mine have rez so i dont take one. i Am The Strongest is a decent skill but is very switchable, consider sniper support, or charm animal. It really is an open spot.

Ur using a 15e preparation for degen, when u obviously plan on attacking the same thing for a while due to dazing it.

BHA is good, yes. But its not the only good build. Prepared Shot, Burning Arrow, Melandrus Shot, Incendiary Arrows, Barrage, Enraged Lunge, Experts Dexterity, Glass Arrows etc are all good elites just in the ranger line. Earthshaker, Wounding Strike/Reapers Sweep, Eviscerate, Dragon Slash, Moebius Strike, Cruel Spear, Stunning Strike are all skills ive used successfully in HM.

Secondly, apply poison is mediocre in pve. You obviously only want it for the cover condition for BHA. Thats fine, but only worth it in mobs with condition removal. May I suggest Poison Tipped Signet. Better the apply poison in this circumstance. This also opens ur skills for volley, or another preparation.

Needling shot is bad unless ur stacking onto it tonnes of damage (eg glass arrows, favourable winds + conjure.) Again replace it.

The only thing in this build that is nice is BHA and D-Shot, the rest can be replaced easily. Savage is nice, but not compulsory.

Haha... NO

BHA is the single strongest Ranger elite in HM. I use a very similar build to this except I dont bother with Needling and I take PvE skills to spike down the target.

And change apply for Read the Wind.

well acutally i think BHA is pretty nice but i usually run splinter barrager or

Apply poison +burning arrow+screaming shot+vanguard signet+epidemic (heard degen was good) lolz

its fun or i can also replace screaming shot for ebon vanguard sniper support but you might end up whit energy problems

Degen isn't so great in HM.

Needling shot is terrible. Replace it with sloth hunters/something better.

BHA is great, but there are many other great elites.

Lol, BHA is bad unless you also have an extend conditions or a tank so you can use epidemic, Sorry, but, No

If you want spell slowdown, use arcane conundrum or something, things die too fast in PvE to actually need daze

Don't need 3 interrupt skills when one gives Dazing. Maybe one of the two others, but not both. Another skill can be put there.

With enough attributes in marksmanship than BHA lasts plenty of time. Enough for the enemy to be killed.

BHA is not bad, I like it in areas with good monks because in HM they can be annoying. However, it is not the only elite passable as I mentioned in my post.

No u, BHA is good, but not best, way not best, yes it helps against casters, espetially healers, it is usefull, but it can miss easily, it costs quite a bit of energy and you might be lacking in damage too. Personally, I prefer a spearchucker over this, with stunning strike, spear of fury, never rampage alone and a pet, it has way greater damage, suriveability and can shut down just the same, also pet is much better than crappy AI sin support.

I mean, there are a lot of options that dont have BHA and do the HM job better, so fail less.

Pet does the job better tbh, sins have crap AI.

So, really, your build is bad, just take a standard BHA/Epidemic if you want BHA, but honestly there are a lot better options to choose from.

Are you...bad? They are among them, spears apply good steady pressure and damage while dowing the same thing BHA can do, psearchuckers ftw, you cant neglect this.

Particular build Im talking about easily outdamages BHA, has better surviveability, and is a better dazebot, kthx.

33% IAS + 12 points in spear = HIGH DPS

Addreniline builds fast and Spear attacks that cost energy are effected by Expertise. Plus the extra armor and health that comes with holding a shield.

Rangers and Spears are a solid combo

In HM due to fast cast, (for me anyway ausse lag), I cant reliably interupt with Conc Shot so its a bit iffy in HM. However BHA can be nice, but its boring to play coz you send it off and just hit space till it recarges, or tab around looking to interupt etc.

Thats why I like stunning spearchuckers better, at least you do some good damages and not sit wait for your BHA to recharge.
